Lois Bridges Dublin Article 15: Individual Care Plan
Not fully compliant
There was one resident in Lois Bridges anorexia treatment Centree on the day of inspection, and the individual clinical file was inspected. There was an individual care plan in the file. However, it did not meet the requirements of the regulations, as the treatment goals and interventions were not specified in a meaningful manner and in sufficient detail. The resident’s care was reviewed by the multidisciplinary team each week, but changes decided at the team meeting were not always reflected in the individual care plan. Residents were present at these reviews, and there was evidence from the clinical file that the resident’s perspective was valued. Staff reported that residents were encouraged to maintain their own diary and bring this to the various therapeutic sessions that they attended

The individual care plan did not specify the identified treatments and therapies planned for the individual resident in sufficient detail. A wide range of therapeutic services and programs were available. These included family therapy, individual psychotherapy, and art therapy. However, these were not always recorded in the individual care plans.

Lois Bridges Sutton Part 3 Admission Process
Lois Bridges anorexia treatment Centre had a clear admission policy and procedures. There was evidence on the day of inspection of comprehensive admission criteria and assessment. Risk assessment was completed on admission and a key worker system was in operation. The individual care plan did not meet all the requirements of the regulations.

The inspectorate greeted the one person who was resident in Lois Bridges anorexia treatment Centre, the resident offered information to the effect that they were happy with their care, treatment, and progress.

- Therapeutic services and programs should be specified in the individual care plan.
